Simone is a designer who’s work centers around the intersections of the written word and clothing. Her intrigue for the historical evolution of fashion history and strong connection to her Latinx identity makes her dedicated to exploring the nuances of color and texture to provide richness to storytelling. Her skills in machine knitting (Shima Seiki, Passap, and Silver Reed) are often used in her work, as she enjoys the creative control that knit provides, and the ability to incorporate a story all the way down to a single stitch.

She received a B.S. in Fashion Design from Cornell University, with a concentration in knit design and performance studies.

She is recognized as an Outstanding Student and a Featured Artist by the Surface Design Association for her work in textile and fashion design.
